Various equipment required is as follows:
1. UTP Cable
2. RJ 45 connector
3. Climpping Tool
You should know that the UTP cable has 4 pairs of small wire inside that has a different color. 4 pairs of cable are:
Pair 1: White / Blue and Blue,
Pair 2: White / Orange and Orange,
Pair 3: White / Green and Green,
Pair 4: White / Brown and Brown
UTP cabling itself is divided into two types. Straight Through and Cross Over. The difference is:
1. Straight Through
Termination type is most often used in 10BaseT Ethernet LAN, to connect a PC with a HUB or SWITCH, a PC with a wall outlet, or for the installation of the HUB to a wall outlet.
In color, the sequence of the cable when installed on RJ 45 connectors are:
Pin 1: White / Orange
Pin 2: Orange
Pin 3: White / Green
Pin 4: Blue
Pin 5: White / Blue
Pin 6: Green
Pin 7: White / Brown
Pin 8: Brown
**-> The order is the same on 2 sides of the cable.
2. Cross Over
Cables of this type typically used to connect the HUB / SWITCH with HUB / SWITCH another.
The order of installation:
One of the cable terminated in accordance with the standards of "Straight Through", while the other cable, made "Cross-Over", as follows:
Pin 1: White / Green
Pin 2: Green
Pin 3: White / Orange
Pin 4: Blue
Pin 5: White / Blue
Pin 6: Orange
Pin 7: White / Brown
Pin 8: Brown
**-> Please note that the in-cross-over only one side of the cable only.
Here are the steps UTP cabling on RJ45 connectors:
1. Remove the outer jacket UTP cable carefully without damaging the 4 pairs of wires in it by using climpping tool.
2. Cut with a neat little 4 pairs of wires so that only half an inch in length. This meant that the cable will be securely installed on the connector.
3. Open the clip on the RJ45 connector and insert the cables into pins in it with color composition that has been determined.
4. After that tighten RJ45 connectors and cables by using climpping tool again.
